Falling backwards or... forwards?

In his speech at a graduation ceremony, Denzel Washington recounts how, at the start of his career, he was told to make sure he had a fallback solution, “Fall Back On”, and explains that he has always preferred the concept of “Fall Forward”…

According to Denzel Washington, mental strength is that if you fail, it’s better to keep trying, not give up. He tells us how he failed at his first casting, but above all how he kept on trying, preparing for the next auditions until he succeeded. Failure is only the beginning of success!

Thomas Edison failed 1,000 times before inventing the light bulb in his 1001st experiment! Denzel insists that we’re going to fail, at some point. Failure is part of the road to victory….

“If you’re not failing, you’re not trying.

To get something you’ve never had, you have to do something you’ve never tried.

And what about you? Would you prefer to cover your tracks with a fallback solution? or prepare your rebound?

What were your experiences?
